The auction is open to newsletter subscribers or registered participants. To become a registered participant complete the form on this link.

Minimum bid is $3.00 with increments as follows: ($3-10) minimum increase $1; ($11-50) minimum increase $3 over; $50 - minimum increase is 10%. Please bid in whole dollar amounts. (Cents bids will be rounded to the highest dollar)

Bids can be mailed (PO Box 308, Slippery Rock, PA 16057), e-mailed to (auction@glassnews.com), or faxed (724) 946-9012, but they must be received by 5 PM (ET) of the closing night of the auction.

Telephone bids will be received on the closing night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (ET).

After 9 pm you will only be allowed to check and raise glasses on which you have been active (i.e. you were the high bidder at some point earlier in the evening).

After 9 pm, you must also call in every hour and raise your bids (if necessary) to remain active. If one hour passes w/o bidding activity, LOTS WILL BEGIN TO BE CLOSED!

The phone auction closedown time is MIDNIGHT. (If you get no answer, the auction has ended.) Bidders who do not honor their bids will not be welcome to participate in future CGN auctions.

Successful bidders will be invoiced for winning bids along with a postage and handling/packing charge. Minimum packing/shipping/insurance charge is $5.00 per order. We guarantee all items as described and all glasses are mint or near mint unless noted otherwise and will provide a refund for unsatisfactory items that are returned. The number to call (1) for additional information on items or (2) how to bid and (3) to place bids on the final evening is: (724) 946-2838.

You may then call on auction night to verify, check, or raise your bids; however, calling is optional.

You are welcome to call before the auction night to check bids, but we cannot guarantee that we will be available or that the current tally sheet will be there.

High bids will be posted at the web site during the final week of the auction. If you are unsure if your bids is high, feel free to contact us..

If you want to receive your glasses quickly, please pay promptly and with a cashier's check, money order, VISA or Mastercard. Allow at least two weeks for personal checks to clear.

If you have consigned glasses for this auction, please be patient about receiving your payment. It takes awhile for us to pack all of the glasses and for all of the auction payments to come in, and we have to wait at least 10 days after we have shipped for possible returns which might require adjustments to your account. Payments are generally made 5-6 weeks after the auction closes. Information on how to consign glasses is available here.

All glasses are mint or near mint unless otherwise described. We make every effort to represent condition accurately, and we examine each glass carefully for defects prior to listing it. We use the following abbreviations to identify minor problems which might irritate some collectors.

Key to descriptive abbreviations: SAMP = small amount missing paint; SRP = slight registration problems; SS = slight scratch; SLG = slight loss of gloss. V = Very. We guarantee satisfaction based on described condition. If you believe that we have misrepresented a glass, please describe this problem within 3 days by phone or in writing, and we will refund your money cheerfully upon receiving the glass(es) with sticker intact.

We occasionally make mistakes in our haste. Please be assured that they are unintentional. We don't try to sell unsatisfactory or misrepresented goods. So if we send you the wrong glass, unacceptable glasses or confuse you with another customer, please be patient. Don't get mad!! Just bring it to our attention! We'll make it right.
