These Australian glasses are all in our current
auction.

During the past few years, collectors have seen an explosion in
the number and types of glasses coming from Australia. Even before
the Internet made international transactions easier, collectors
in the States were fascinated by some of the glasses that were
being shipped over. Nutella, Hungry Jacks (the Australian version
of Burger King), and a production company called Monkeys of Melbourne
all offered cartoon glasses. Monkeys made a variety of cartoon
glasses in a 6" and 5" frosted tumbler. The Donald Duck
glass (1st item in the row) is a Monkeys of Melbourne glass. The
company ceased operation a few years ago, but another group has
picked up the production. The other four glasses shown below are
more recent items produced for the Australian market.
