Unusual
Bugs Bunny, 1950s Pepsi, and Burger King Dallas Cowboys Sample
Collector
Glass News Auction #74 has three lots of particular interest.
The first of these is a Bugs Bunny glass that features Dental Hygiene
Tips. It has a nice full body line drawing of Bugs with his toothbrush.
It is a frosted 4 1/8" tumbler that probably dates to the late
1950s or early 1960s. This is the first of these that we have seen!
The second is a Pepsi-Cola Outing
glass dated August 16-18, 1957, with the location of Viola, California.
The glass reads "In the Hills with Bud Hill" and has a
number of signatures of what appear to be Pepsi executives on back.
This is the first time we have come across this particular glass,
although it does have a slight loss of gloss.
The third special offering is a Dallas
Cowboys Harvey Martin glass that appears to be a sample for the
Burger King Dr. Pepper set that was later produced. This glass is
61/4" and straight sided with no Dr. Pepper logo and a small
Burger King logo. It is also different from the produced set because
it shows five players in action on reverse. I've seen one other
glass in this style with a different player.
The
auction closes on October 19, 2002. Check
out all the listings!
