Pennsylvania collector Dale Morrision
unearthed a scarce and previously undocumented 1930's Disney pitcher
and glass set. Dale found this set on one of the Internet auction
sites. The glasses are similar to a US version of the Disney First
Dairy Series distributed in 1936. The glasses and pitcher each
use two colors and are marked with the copyright symbol and a
W.D. The text is Spanish and promotes a drink called Materva.
The glasses shown from left to right
are: Horace, Clarabelle Cow, Donald Duck, pitcher with all the
characters, Pluto, Minnie and Goofy. Dale is missing the Mickey
to complete his set. This is a great find and is undoubtedly valued
at over $1000 for the set.
Don't
forget that the new CGN auction has been posted and will
close on August 11th. Check out the currrent listing by clicking
