Red Version
of Dunkin' Donuts Wizard of Oz Glass

     The glass shown to the left is an unusual version of a Wizard of Oz glass. The Dunkin' Donuts "Holding Hands" glass was issued in the late 1970's. It is sometimes a difficult glass to locate, but can be purchased in the $30-$50 range. In a previous web cover page, we showed you the companion Munchkins glass that was only produced in a sample version. That glass changed hands for $1200.

     This glass is a prototype. It was produced in a very small number for evaluation purposes. If you are familiar with the distributed version, you know the colors on that glass are orange and tan. On this glass the colors are clearly a crimson red along with the tan. This is the only copy of this glass of which I am aware.
